Zakiya Khabir

(zah-kee-yah ka-beer) has been a graphic and web designer since 2004. She grew up in Central Pennsylvania, taught drawing and painting for two years in Baltimore's inner city, and has lived in San Diego for 6 years. Most of her programming skills were self-taught but her design knowledge come from years of study. And yes, you can call her Z.

Zakiya is active in San Diego's local Drupal group, and plays an integral role on the San Diego Sand Camp organization team. She has presented on subjects such as Basic Fusion Theming, and Introduction to Sign-Up Module. Zakiya assisted with San Diego Sand Camp's website and mobile site theming.

Zakiya also hosted a 2 day Drupal Turbo Theming Workshop, teaching concepts of overriding, intercepting and altering markup in Drupal, theme development framework, coding a custom theme, and controlling the output of CCK and Views.
